The Mission of Camp Boggy Creek is to enrich the lives of children who have chronic or life threatening illnesses by creating camping experiences that are memorable, exciting, fun, empowering, physically safe and medically sound.

Once again, the ACF Gulf to Lakes Chefs & Cooks Association, Lake County High School's Culinary Programs, their families and friends were out in full force to support Camp Boggy Creek. As usual for the past 10 years we have gone out and supported the Annual Holiday Party. This year we had over 50 volunteers that showed up 9 AM on Saturday Morning. These are high school students that could have been doing other things. These wonderful young adults felt it was more important to bring some happiness to others. Is this not the true meaning of the holiday season? I want to thank Chef Bob Ponsi and his wife Candy; Chief Master Sergeant Mark Brilliant and his wife Pat; Chef John Bell; Gesa Barto; Kim Cooke; Steve Johnson; Patric Oliver; Heather Williams; the culinary arts students from Tavares & Eustis High School; the ROTC students from Eustis High School; and of course as always every year, Chef Marcus Herrington from Tavares High School.
Once again, Camp Boggy Creek is a wonderful place for children. It deserves our support. To find out more information about the camp go to their web page at http://www.boggycreek.org
Thanks again to all that helped,
